At the end of May I was fortunate enough as owner of The Barn in Zionsville to be able to host a very talented photographer for a stylized photo shoot, the lovely Krista Joy Photography. Krista is a North Carolina based photographer who started her career in Indianapolis years ago before she relocated with her family. Krista reached out to me wanting to do a stylized photo shoot at The Barn in Zionsville while she would be in town. I was thrilled and happy as I was also able to throw on my wedding planner and designer hat that is my other business, Cooper Events.

This is your time to shine, and if you want to wear your favorite pair of Converse, go for it. It's your wedding and you'll be fly if you want to. read more...

Hello 2Bs! It has been super busy here as we wrap up the planning for a non-profit gala. The theme is a Great Gatsby/1920s’ inspired affair and we decided to go with ostrich feathers for our centerpieces. That got me thinking, there are some really great ideas for non floral centerpieces that you 2Bs would absolutely love. Most 2Bs are a little hesitant when I mention no florals (Basphemous! I know!) but you can still have a fabulous table with chic décor without using a single stem. Take a look at some of these stylish tables! read more...

As the leaves begin to the change colors and the nights begin to cool down, some our favorite colorful florals begin to shed their blooms and hibernate for the fall and winter. But no worries, 2B's - this does not mean that your wedding florals won't make the "statement" that spring and summer flowers do. (Quite the contrary!) We spoke with Ron Dawson, Wedding Consultant with Steve’s Flowers and Gifts, who gave us an insight to what colors and floral are popular this upcoming season. read more...
